Day 14 Moscow Diary
Sightseeing
06.08.2011 - 06.08.2011
28 °C
Hello!
Went to visit our local church, very nice! The Church of our Saviour was blown up by Lenin, and has been completley rebuilt. Its the biggest church in Russia! It is really hot here, so didn't do much else besides wander round during the day!
Once it had cooled down in the evening, went for a stroll down Old Arbat, which is a big street full of street artists and musicians! Also loads of souvenier shops, most of which had a 50% discount on everything. Bought some cool stuff including a russian hat, doll and vodka! The street is gorgeous!
On way home went for a few pints and got into big argument with the waiters over the bill! Not the best end to a fantastic day!
The Kremlin was ridiculously busy by the afternoon so we have decided to go early today before the coach loads of tour groups arrive! Also very excited about seeing Lenin's body!
