Day 12 St Petersburg Diary

Trip to Peterhof & The Vodka Museum

sunny 27 °C

Hey all.

Apologies, having some problems uploading photos today. Should have it sussed soon!

Had a brilliant but exhausting trip to Peterhof, which took about 30 minutes on the hydrafoil. Love hydrafoil's! It was a really hot day, did lots of walking and saw the palace, gardens and fountains. Best one was called the Chessboard fountain! Very difficult to photograph! Had hotdogs and took the hydrafoil back to the centre.

Next we found the Vodka museum, opted not to have a guided tour which was a huge mistake as everything was in Russian - no English translations! Saw some pretty cool stuff though including vodka in a tube! The musuem has a gorgeous restaurant attached so we decided to eat our last meal in Saint Petersburg there. Both had very nice Russian wine. Mum had tongue and i had stroganoff! Delicious!

Our feet were pretty ruined by this point and getting back the apartment to pack was challenging and very painful! Said goodbye to the apartment owners and headed for the Moskavaya train station. Decided to do this on public transport with all our luggage which turned out to be really hard work!
